Our fleet is based in Loreto, Baja California Sur, and has been adapted to explore both Loreto Bay National Park and the Sierra de la Giganta, as well as remote marine, desert and mountain environments throughout the region.

La Puma is a 27-foot expedition vessel adapted specifically for wildlife observation, marine exploration and long days at sea. Its distinctive elevated observation bow provides an expanded field of view for spotting and observing whales, dolphins and other marine wildlife. The vessel also features individual orthopedic seating, extensive shade, an onboard WC, dry equipment areas, hydrophone and specialized equipment for photography, snorkeling, freediving, citizen science and research work

We hold an exclusive transportation permit for tourism in the Loreto area and municipality, granted by the Secretaría de Urbanismo, Infraestructura, Movilidad, Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales. This permit allows us to operate within the municipality of Loreto, Baja California Sur, ensuring that we provide exceptional services to visitors exploring this beautiful region.

We have registered our boat with the Secretaría de la Marina y Asuntos Marítimos as a tourism vessel and obtained the National Park operation permit from CONANP. This permit allows us to conduct tourism activities within the boundaries of the Loreto National Park, excluding Catalana Island. This registration and permitting ensure that we comply with local regulations while providing exceptional services to our guests exploring the beautiful marine environment of Loreto, Baja California Sur.

Yes. Wildlife observation is central to La Puma’s design. Its purpose-built elevated observation bow supports long-distance wildlife spotting, photography, behavioral observation and photo-identification while giving our guests an exceptional perspective during whale watching and marine wildlife expeditions in Loreto Bay National Park.

La Cachalote is a Ford E-350 4x4 expedition vehicle adapted for remote exploration. Its 4x4 system, all-terrain tires, upgraded suspension, captain seats, air conditioning and equipment capacity allow us to comfortably access canyons, oases, desert tracks and remote areas of the Sierra de la Giganta and Baja California Peninsula.

Yes. Our fleet supports both small-group and private boutique expeditions. Private adventures offer greater flexibility for families, photographers, filmmakers, researchers and travelers looking for a more personalized way to explore Loreto.

Our expeditions carry specialized safety and communication equipment appropriate to the environments we explore, including satellite communication, VHF radio aboard La Puma, approved lifejackets, first-aid and oxygen equipment, fire extinguishers and emergency equipment. Safety briefings are provided before departure.

Yes. Our fleet supports citizen science, wildlife monitoring, photography, photo-identification and research work alongside our tourism expeditions. The design and equipment of both La Puma and La Cachalote allow our team to collect observations and work in remote marine and terrestrial environments.
