LA PAZ

DURATION:

4 hours

LOCATION:

La Paz, BCS

SEASON:

November to April

Whale sharks, the largest fish in the world, migrate to the nutrient-rich waters of La Paz, Baja California Sur, from October to April. During this period, they gather in the bay to feed on abundant plankton, taking advantage of the area's ideal hydrographic conditions.

The Bay of La Paz in Baja California Sur serves as a crucial feeding ground for these gentle giants, allowing them to thrive in a safe environment where they can engage in feeding activities without the threat of predators. As they filter-feed near the surface, we have the unique opportunity to swim alongside these magnificent creatures, observing their stunning patterns and serene movements up close. This migration not only highlights the whale shark's remarkable journey but also underscores the ecological significance of La Paz as a sanctuary for marine life.
